Around March 2017, a designer from BMW Shenyang visit our company and said that they need to measure the thickness of the steel plate of the body of BMW automobile, which needs to penetrate the spray paint on the surface, the thickness range is about 0.6-0.9mm, and the measurement value tolerance of 0.01mm is required. At the beginning we have some concerns, because the lower limit of our existing gauges at that moment is just 0.6mm, although such a thin workpiece can be measured, I am afraid that the accuracy will not be as high as the customer's requirements, so we try to use our newest PM-5 series thickness gauge, which we just developed and produced. After our measurements, the values are very stable, moreover, through A scanning, the measured waveform can be directly seen to determine the accuracy of the measurement. The bodies of other brands were also measured for comparison. BMW's designers are very satisfied with our PM-5 thickness gauge, so that we have reached a lot of cooperation.
